The Seed Grant program of University of Utah’s Vice President for Research has selected the Diehl Lab as a 2021-22 funding recipient. This award will be used to advance our search for molecules that bind to ADP-ribose reader domains. These sites play an important role in DNA damage repair process.
We are pleased to welcome to the team Garrison Nickel, who is pursuing his doctorate through the University of Utah’s Biological Chemistry program. Garrison will be working on identifying reader/writer domains of the histone remodification enzymes responsible for noncanonical histone marks, including lactylation.
